About

El Tros Farm is a beautiful, magical place. It is currently run by three people: Carlos (land owner), Davian (his grandson) and Bill (vegetable farmer).

Set on 10 acres of family land in the historical community of Talpa, New Mexico, we honor the land’s rich history with every crop we grow and every animal we raise.

We draw water from the ancient Acequia del Monte del Rio Chiquito and we rely on a combination of new, innovative and “old-school” methods to grow and harvest an abundance of vegetables and fruits.

In 2024, we developed a small farm business model that allows participating farmers to learn, grow and profit collectively. This year (2025) we’re expanding on that model, recruiting more farmers to join the team, and launching El Tros Farm Collective.

Want to participate? We’d love to have you. Reach out for more information.
